It wasn’t necessarily the familiar voice that got Serena to surface than it was the unusual bass sounds which filtered through the water, pricking against her pores in a strange sensation.
"I thought you might," Elise smiled, noticing how relaxed Serena was.
"So how have you been, Elise?" Serena asked, appreciating the music.
"I’ve been…alright," she answered with a shrug. "I’m now a student, so that’s good and my family has been the same so all is good. What about you?"
"Ah, a little scholar, aren’t you?" she grinned, playfully flicking a few drops at the human. "I’ve been good. No major predators around the reef and according to Marlin the fish appreciate my patrols."
